Mainhouse 

The first floor of the main house has a large kitchen which has direct access both to the interior dining area and the external covered dining terrace. The living room is wrapped around on two sides by the covered terrace and has a custom-built wood-burning stove as its centerpiece for cosy winter gatherings. The living / kitchen / eating areas are accessed directly from the main long entrance hallway of the house, which runs down one side of the Andalusian courtyard and connects the first floor to the mezzanine.

Main House Bedrooms & Bathrooms

The first and mezzanine floors of the main house are grouped around a central Andalusian courtyard. It features three ensuite bedrooms: the master bedroom; the courtyard bedroom and the poolside bedroom.

The Master Bedroom Suite 

Positioned on the south-eastern corner of the main house, the master bedroom suite has an interior window onto the Andalusian courtyard, a large east-facing window and french doors leading onto a private bougainvillea-draped south-facing terrace. Decorated in soft neutral colors and with ‘dark walnut’ ceramic flooring, the room is an elegant retreat by day or night and its position means that even with a houseful of guests, your privacy remains. With three large double wardrobes, hi-speed internet and satellite television, as well as air conditioning, an overhead fan and underfloor heating, the room has all that you need to be comfortable all year round. 

Master Bathroom 

The master en-suite bathroom has a bath (with hand shower), toilet, bidet and washbasin. Semi-opaque roof-lights allows diffused light to flood the room, whilst an exterior window opens onto the external courtyard outside the casita. The walls and floor are tiled with stone-effect and dark-wood effect ceramic tiles for a luxurious and minimal look.

Courtyard Bedroom 

On the mezzanine floor of the main house are two further en-suite bedrooms. The courtyard bedroom has 3 large built-in wardrobes, air conditioning and underfloor heating. A east-facing double window opens onto the casita courtyard, whilst french doors lead down a short flight of steps to the Andalusian interior courtyard (or up to the rooftop). The room has hi-speed internet and satellite television. One interior door leads into the main hallway and the other into the ‘Jack and Jill’ en-suite bathroom which has a shared (lockable) door with the poolside bedroom next door.

Both guest bedrooms have a door onto the same shared bathroom (each door is lockable so it becomes a private bathroom). It features a double size power shower, double basins and vanity units, WC and bidet. High-level windows afford complete privacy whilst giving a view of blue sky and pine trees.  The walls and floor are clad with luxury dark porcelain tiles offset by dark wooden vanity units and white sanitary ware. A peaceful and cool bathroom in both senses of the word. 

Poolside Bedroom 

On the other side of the mezzanine floor, with double french doors leading up to the pool area, is a further en-suite bedroom. A double-opening south-facing window has views across the drive and orchard, the skyline punctuated by cypress trees as the view sweeps across the valley to the distant green hills. Two large double fitted, mirrored wardrobes, high-speed internet, a ceiling fan and underfloor heating complete this elegant and quiet bedroom, also suitable for use as a home-office.

Main House: Lower Ground Floor

The lower ground floor of the main house has at its centre a self-contained one-bedroom apartment with a covered terrace. It is flanked at either end by separate en-suite bedrooms, each with their own exterior door as well as being connected internally.

Lower Ground Floor Apartment 

The lower ground floor has a self-contained apartment with a large living/dining/kitchen area, an ensuite bedroom and a private shaded south-facing terrace. There is high speed internet, satellite television and central heating. The door to the right of the picture leads to a small hallway and staircase to the first floor, as well as the entrance to a bedroom/utility room and a separate shower room.

Lower Ground Floor Apartment: Master Bedroom Suite 

Shaded by the mature bougainvillea, the lower ground floor apartment has a large bedroom with double south-facing windows. The cermic ‘wood planking’ floors and neutral decoration give it a tranquil feeling. The en-suite shower room has a large power shower and a bespoke solid glass washbasin, along with a WC. 

Lower Ground Floor: Casita-side Bedroom Suite 

On the casita side of the lower ground floor, is a south and east aspected bedroom and en-suite shower room with vanity basin and WC. The suite has its own door to the exterior, as well as a connecting door to the central apartment, if needed

Lower Ground Floor: West-side Bedroom, Bathroom & Utility Area

To the west side of the self-contained apartment is another bedroom, with both an internal door to the hallway that leads to the first floor and an external doorway that leads onto the apartment terrace and the exterior. This room also contains the washing machine/tumble dryer and two large floor-to-ceiling double wardrobes / cupboards and can be used either as a bedroom and/or utility room as needed. Through the internal doorway is a shower room with WC and washbasin, with a west facing window. 

Casita (Guest Cottage)

Situated adjacent to the main house the Casita is a south-facing 100m2 self-contained guest cottage built to the same standards as the main house and featuring a large en-suite bedroom with integral dressing room/study area, a full kitchen and a dining room and living area. A full-width jasmine-draped terrace runs across the entire south side providing cooling breezes and stunning views across the grounds and the valley. Private parking.

Outdoor Poolside Living

The 50m2 pool is discretely hidden away at the highest part of the grounds and is not overlooked. With an all-year-round kitchen, bar, dining and seating area, bathroom and shower, plus plenty of room for sun-loungers, shaded siesta areas and night-time entertaining, this is what outdoor living is all about. Wired for high-speed internet and with a dark sky filled with stars over the floodlit pool, this is the place where memories are made.

Simple country living at its finest… Ibiza style.

Originally the home of a local Ibizan family, the oldest parts of this country home date back to the early 1960s. Adrian Parnwell purchased it in 2007 and fully renovated both house and grounds, installing new electrics, lighting, plumbing and other services throughout. The grounds have been extensively landscaped, old walls rebuilt and new ‘old’ walls added to create a mosaic of paths that feel like they have been there forever. From the underfloor-heating to the star-gazing rooftops, there is nothing that has not been lovingly restored. Yet nothing is overdone. The grounds too have been coaxed into a wild order, with some areas left wooded whilst others have been cleared and planted to form orchards and a vegetable garden. Draped in bougainvillea and punctuated with the distinctive shapes of Ibizan cacti, this is an artful yet natural garden. Limes, Lemons, Oranges, Apricots, Figs Plums, Apples, Grenadines and other fruits provide a feast from Spring to Christmas with minimal effort, whilst the vegetable garden requires a bit more work!
